Doctors 4 Triathlon started as a private blog operated by a few friends who happen to be doctors and also triathletes. At that time the private blog was dedicated to personal experience of the group in endurance sports. Since then things have changed and now the docs4tri site hosts a multitude of articles in sports medicine.
Medical professionals who wish to write about one of these subjects: Endurance sports or sports medicine are welcome to send their articles to us (doctors4triathlon@gmail.com) and we will consider them for publication in your name.
The original Doctors and triathletes
Gil Kovary – Not a doctor, nor a triathlete, but a runner, athlete and friend.
Ido Weinberg – Born 1976, Internal medicine doc, Hadassah, Jerusalem, Israel. Married to Riki.
Jacopo (Ya’akov) Chen – “The Italian Stalion”. The best thing that happened during 1974, married to Adva with two beautiful children: Segev and Lia. General Surgery resident at the Beilinson Hospital.
Noam Josephy – “Chick”. A doctor, father, husband, businessman and triathlete.
Noam Reshef – “Coach”. The inspiration behind docs4tri.
Riki Weinberg – Not a doctor, nor a triathlete (YET!), but she is the best technical one woman team we could ask for. She rules!
Shachar Aharony -Born on the winter of 1975. Urology resident at the Beilinson hospital.
Yechiel Engelhard – “Marathon man”. Runs as if born in Kenya, swims like a rock (same as the rest of us…) and bikes mostly without falling. Did we say he can run?
Yuval Ran – “Iron man”, we hope…
